This is dedicated to the lively little sites, run by the Petz etc games enthusiasts, which are fun to visit but don't get much support! Some links updated June 2007, although I've not had time to check them all.

This is dedicated to the amazingly active Babyz Community. As of April 2005, all the links work -- but the community is ever-changing, so you may find broken ones later. Sorry about that, I can't always keep up :-)

It's driving me crazy trying to keep checking all the links on this main page and keep them updated, and it takes a lot of time that I can't afford, so forgive me -- I'll not update it much and this page will probably get horribly out of date. If you happen to see that the link to your particular site is no longer valid and you care about that, then by all means write to let me know and I'll update it then. Otherwise, please regard this page as an interesting piece of history some of which may or may not be current :-)

I find it difficult to keep track of where everyone goes these days, but the above forums seem to be where a lot of the Petz and Babyz Communities hang out.

I have very little time to spare these days, so actually I don't manage now to hang out at the forums very often, but I do get the Petzwarehouse Yahoo group one delivered in digest form. I always check my mail, though, so if you want to ask me something specific see my address lower down. If you want to ask me to make something for you or convert something etc, then the answer is what I say right here: I have no free time, so I cannot take on new hexing work. Ask around on the forums, there are a lot of great hexers who can help you and many of them want new ideas.

Tutorials etc for hexers and game-tweakers

A whole load of places that tell you various ways of hexing or editing. People find these easier to follow than mine. Come to think of it, people find almost anything easier to follow than mine, even when I give 'em the "easy-edit" packages. Oh well, what the heck; at least I try. Anyway, here are a whole load of sites that should help un-confuse you after I've totally addled your brains.

Back up at this new addy, and as usual nobody tells me. I shall sulk even louder. Describes itself as "a resource for graphics and tutorials for hexing and such." The hexing tutorials are mostly for babyz, a couple for Petz, illustrated with screengrabs. For those who prefer hexing direct into a hex editor. Also does tutorials on html, useful for site-makers.
Nova's Supernova
When it's up, Nova's site has a very useful ResHacker tutorial for them as like to use that program, as well as some excellent breedz, unusual litterz and other information. Some inaccurate info in the "fun facts" department, but what the heck, they're still fun. I was gratified to find in the quiz that I'm a "hexing goddess"; leaves me wondering what I'd have thought of that if I'd been male, LOL!

The Petz Source / Petz for Dummies
The Petz Source is now back up; its P4D forum still appears to be down.
The Petz Sauce
This is owned by Liz of Mistoffeles and Cheetah of Cheetah Kennelz and Cattery and was created when it seemed that the Petz Source was down for good. It's growing gradually and is another great place to go for handy info from hexers.

Minibyte's Petz Archive
A long-awaited site! Minibyte has at last started to put her archive of carefully-collected and meticulously converted breedz up for us all to enjoy. It's going to be a long haul for her to upload everything, but it'll be worth seeing what she has up each week. Many breedz etc which were at long-lost sites, places that I once knew well such as Anso's and The PetzGallery, should eventually find their way online, as well as conversions of breedz that are at long-static sites... Hang on while I have a moment of nostalgia :-)
Daniel Wright's Petz Archive
Daniel has all the official items and backup breedfiles etc for download, as well as Sleepycat's full breedfiles.
APKC
APKC has Petz 5 conversions of breedz by Minstrelz (of Wyndhaven Kennels), as well as other converted breedz and official downloads / backup breedz for Petz 4 and 5.
Artemis/Sitara's Scrappy
When the breed pages are up, Scrappy has the breedz of EPCPS, Sara's Petz Page and Daizy Kennelz' own excellent breedz. When the breedz pages are not up, you can at least download some interesting pets :-)

Mizza'z Petz
Some fantastic adoptions here for people who love "misfits", also some great breedz -- for Oddballz as well as Petz! You need to email the creator for them, but she sends them willingly.
Fox Flamers Kennelz
This site, along with its FoxFlamer Petz Clinic , has a great "recovery" service, or surgery and cosmetic clinic, for petz. Also you'll find there some very nice breedz, including a good British Bulldog and the Harry Potter "IrnBelly"

I'm getting confused now as to where Bethy and Nicole's breedz are! Nicole keeps moving... PPP is now "not found", snugglepetz is "unavailable", so at the moment the only place of hers I can find is

Another static site, but it has some excellent Dogz 1 breedz including some fantasies such as a dragon and a bunch of Wonks.
Leaping Frog Cattery
Lots of fantastic breedz (mostly for catz but there are some dogz ), originally for Catz 3 but Minibyte and others have been industriously converting them to Petz 4 and soon, I believe, Petz 5. The site also has distinctive Petz 3 toys and Petz 3 and 4 clothes including the distinctive Fleaz :-)

The improved-fur Mau, plus a breeding pair and some interesting babies.
Random Wiktor's Corvus Corvax Petz
Used to have extremely creative breedz, including various wild dogz, updated cat breedz, and some very interesting Wildz. Site now closed, but look on Random's main site for occasional interesting items.
Faerie Barn Dance
Realistic dogz breedz -- loads.
Also a sheep breed with sounds produced by myself at Kathy's request. The Sheep by Random Wiktor is more realistic, but has doggy sounds -- and the one by Mutty/Barnettlanding is cute and Baaaas :-)
Plus they have a German Shepherd for Catz 3-5, Blues Clues for Dogz 3-5, and a cute fuzzy Calico.

Dome Kua

I've done it like this to try and keep spam at bay)
If you try to write to me and the mail bounces, well -- it shouldn't, so try again. I don't have any filters in place to prevent your mail from getting to me, so if there is a problem of any kind it will be something temporary at either my or your ISP.
Please note that I always reply to email as soon as I can, and deal with items that have been sent to me or at least acknowledge receipt of them. If you haven't heard back from me within 48 hours, please drop me a note to check that I did get the message or file; I don't mind little reminders, and it is just possible that email is getting lost sometimes.
Also I always try to make my reply as useful as possible. So I find it really annoying when I've spent time on a careful reply to someone, only to have it bounced back with "not accepting mail from this sender". If you are going to ask me a question, please try to make sure that you can receive my answers!!

The above were made for special friends. All other items which were once exclusives to other friends' sites have reverted back to me and are available here. Reversion of exclusivity takes place whenever a site which has one of mine closes without (at the time) any intention of re-opening, or if the site owner hands it back. I no longer do exclusives, so please don't ask -- it's too much hassle to keep track.
