Making your breed non-overwriting without using Save As
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, you've changed the AC bitmap and you don't want to use the Save As wizard to change name and ID number. You want to do it a slightly longer way. Why would you want to do that? Hey, I don't know, but I already had this written and it seems a shame to waste it. Plus it shows you where to find everything if you ever need to know in future :-)
Now change the internal name of the breed. Navigate to String List, 63. Place your cursor firmly on the breedname in the right-hand pane--
--and when it becomes editable type your own breed name in. Hit Enter, and save.
Now you need to change the ID number. Navigate to RCData 1003. Click on the ID number in the right-hand pane. You can choose either to edit the Decimal version (number) of the ID or the Hexadecimal version (hex).
Hit Enter when you have done so -- you'll see the other version of the number then changes as well. Save.
Now close LNZPro, find your breed in your Catz or Dogz folder, and use Windows Explorer or My Computer to rename the file to the exact same name as you typed into the String List.
Your breed is now non-overwriting.
If you want to make it have different 2-letter mnemonics and a different AC name, go on to page 3
