This FAQ covers making 5-ponytailed babyz Two ponytails like Kalari's Fuzzy hair NOTE: These are old questions which I answered a while ago. I have kept the FAQ as it might still be of interest to new hexers. =============================================================== Five pony tails --------------- >I've read your tutorial, but I can't manage to figure out the code needed >to make a five-ponytail baby Okay, I think I can best explain it by showing you the actual coordinates that I used for some of my five-ponytailed babyz. I did of course start with a three-ponytailed baby, and then twiddled with the x,y,z coordinates to fix them in the correct places. Then I removed (actually commented-out with a semi-colon, but it's the same thing to the game) all the lines I didn't want (including all the variation lines; i.e the ones starting with #). I took the first ponytail and slipped it to one side by -40 etc (instead of 0 etc), then slid the second and third ponytails a fair bit sideways (75 and -75 etc instead of 65 and -65 etc) and downwards (-50 instead of -60 etc). Then I grabbed what used to be a "curl" variation and altered that to be the top middle ponytail, and took what used to be a single-ponytail variation and made it a mirror image of the first one (40 etc). ;HAIR 138 ;#4.D;Hair- 5 ponytails ;0n head ;base x, y, z col ;------------------------ 63, -40, -80, 20, 46, 244, 0, -1, 0, 2, 30, 8, 0, -1, 63, -45, -100, 30, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 0, 45, 8, 0, 3, 63, -60, -102, 45, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 1, 35, 8, 0, 3, 63, -67, -95, 55, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 1, 28, 8, 0, 3, 63, -67, -80, 58, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 1, 20, 8, 0, 3, ; 63, 75, -50, 23, 46, 244, 0, -1, 0, 2, 30, 8, 0, -1, 63, 100, -60, 35, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 0, 45, 8, 0, 3, 63, 117, -40, 30, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 1, 33, 8, 0, 3, 63, 115, -25, 25, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 1, 24, 8, 0, 3, ; 63, -75, -50, 23, 46, 244, 0, -1, 0, 2, 30, 8, 0, -1, 63, -100, -60, 35, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, -2, 45, 8, 0, 3, 63, -117, -40, 30, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 1, 33, 8, 0, 3, 63, -115, -25, 25, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 1, 24, 8, 0, 3, ;#3.C;Hair- curl 63, 0, -90, 20, 46, 244, 0, -1, 0, 2, 30, 8, 0, -1, 63, 5, -110, 30, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 0, 45, 8, 0, 3, 63, 5, -112, 45, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 1, 35, 8, 0, 3, 63, 5, -105, 55, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 1, 28, 8, 0, 3, 63, 5, -90, 58, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 1, 20, 8, 0, 3, ;63,-7, -95, 0, 10, 244, 0, 0, 0, -1, 9, 8, 0, 3, ;63,14, -115, 0, 10, 244, 0, 0, 0, -1, 7, 8, 0, 3, ;#2.B;Hair- horn ;63, 0, -80, 0, 12, 12, 0, 6, 0, 1, 60, 8, 0, 3, ;63, 10, -93, -10, 12, 12, 0, 6, 0, -1, 45, 8, 0, 3, ;63, 15, -115, 0, 12, 12, 0, 6, 0, -1, 25, 8, 0, 3, ;#1.A;Hair- brown ponytail on head 63, 40, -80, 20, 46, 244, 0, -1, 0, 2, 30, 8, 0, -1, 63, 45, -100, 30, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 0, 50, 8, 0, 3, 63, 60, -102, 45, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 1, 35, 8, 0, 3, 63, 67, -95, 55, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 1, 35, 8, 0, 3, 63, 67, -80, 58, 24, 244, 0, 0, 0, 1, 20, 8, 0, 3, ;## Study the above code, and with any luck what I've written above will make sense. But basically you simply shift the x to left or right, and the y up or down, and the z forward or back. =============================================================== Two ponytails like Kalari's --------------------------- >and how do I move the pigtails to the side like Kalari has >on Rachel's page at the ABC Babyz' site? Making fuzzy pony-tails is illustrated by this bit of code: ;base x, y, z color otlnCol spckCol fuzz group outlin ballsize ;------------------------------------------------------------------- 63, 65, -60, 25, 38, 244, 0, -1, 0, 2, 40, 8, 0, -1, 63, 90, -70, 30, 12, 244, 0, 9, 0, 0, 65, 8, 0, 3, 63, 107, -50, 35, 12, 244, 0, 60, 0, 1, 83, 8, 0, 3, 63, 105, -35, 23, 12, 244, 0, 60, 0, 1, 95, 8, 0, 3, ; 63, -65, -60, 25, 38, 244, 0, -1, 0, 2, 40, 8, 0, -1, 63, -90, -70, 30, 12, 244, 0, 9, 0, -2, 65, 8, 0, 3, 63, -107, -50, 35, 12, 244, 0, 60, 0, 1, 83, 8, 0, 3, 63, -105, -35, 23, 12, 244, 0, 60, 0, 1, 95, 8, 0, 3, As you can see, I put a 9 on the fuzz number for the hair-coloured ball nearest the head and a ridiculously large number (60) in the Fuzz column for the outer two of the hair ballz, plus of course I made those ballz much larger than normal. Then, for the hair on the head to be fuzzy, you're best making another ball which causes hair to sprout from within the head (just like Real Life ). this ball needs to be large and centrally placed: ;base x, y, z color otlnCol spckCol fuzz group outlin ballsize ;------------------------------------------------------------------- 63, 0, -9, 0, 11, 244, 0, 6, 0, 1, 180, 8, 0, 4, You can fuzz up the [Paint Ball] of course, but it isn't as effective as a fuzzy add ball in some ways. Hope that helps Carolyn Horn
